A beautiful walk from the Peak District back to Whitwell. The walk gives you a chance to play trains as you walk through the old tunnels and over the viaduct on the way to Buxton. You then climb up and passing through the historic Chatsworth Estate before heading over Beeley Moor. The views looking over Chesterfield allow you to see the crooked spire as you make your away around the edge of the town before passing under the motorway. This is followed by the climb to Palterton before weaving through several of the smaller villages on the way back to The Royal Oak.
